Can it be used to wash the windshield? Your demo only shows it cleaning the car body.
Yes. C7 can be used on exterior automotive glass, including the windshield. It’s designed for quick maintenance of common surface contaminants such as dust, rain spots and fingerprints, not just painted body panels.
How well does C7 work on bug splatter and insect residue on windshields?
C7 is best for fresh or light everyday contamination. It can help remove light insect residue, but dried or heavily baked-on bug splatter may need to be softened or pre-treated first. C7 is designed more for frequent maintenance between deep washes than aggressive heavy-duty cleaning.
Is it suitable for sailing yachts in salty conditions and safe for Awlgrip-painted surfaces?
C7 is currently designed and tested primarily for automotive exterior surfaces. While its soft-contact cleaning method may be suitable for many smooth coated surfaces, we do not currently recommend making a specific compatibility claim for Awlgrip or marine coatings without testing and approval from the coating manufacturer. Salt residue should also be thoroughly removed with fresh water to prevent salt deposits.
What is the difference between using the car cleaning solution and just washing with water? Does the cleaning solution give better results?
For routine dust, rain spots and light surface maintenance, clean water is generally sufficient and C7 does not require traditional foaming soap. If a compatible car-care solution is used, it may help with certain residues or surface finish, but only products confirmed as compatible with C7 and the vehicle finish should be used.
How can I clean the rims with this product? Is there a dedicated brush available or planned?
C7 is primarily designed for smooth exterior surfaces such as paint, glass, chrome, and exterior plastic trim. It can be used on accessible smooth areas of a wheel, but complex spokes, deep barrels, and heavily contaminated rims are better cleaned with a dedicated wheel brush. At this time, C7 should not be positioned as a replacement for a dedicated wheel-cleaning tool.
How does the C7 prevent water marks left on the car surface from its damp blue roller, and how does it clean the car interior?
C7 uses a very small amount of water and is designed to minimize runoff and excess moisture during maintenance, helping reduce the amount of water left on the surface. For interiors, we would not position C7 as a full interior-cleaning machine; its current suitable interior application is mainly glass rather than seats, dashboards or other cabin materials.
Does C7 require maintenance after use?
No special maintenance is required. Simply empty the water tanks after use.
Where can I use this product to wash my car? Can it be used in places like condos or parking lots where open car washing is not permitted?
That is one of C7’s main use cases. Because it is cordless, requires only a small amount of water, uses no hose and is designed to minimize runoff, it is especially convenient for apartment or condo parking, HOA parking areas, EV charging locations, road trips and other places where a traditional hose-and-bucket wash is impractical. Local property rules still apply, so users should always follow the regulations of the specific parking area.
